It has been a few weeks since I have been able to go and take a few photos. Autumn is almost gone now and the countryside has taken on a very different view to the times whenI was taking pictures of Fish, Flowers and insects in bright sunshine. However, when you get a morning as calm as this morning you could only enjoy it. The mid autumn crunch of leaves on the woodland paths has given way to a dripping softness. Flowers are now absent from most places but their place has been taken over by a huge selection of mushrooms. I`m not going to try to identify these as I know that some of my blogging friends are keen mycologists. Hopefully they might help out some of us who are not so expert. The scenery on the Blackwater at this time of the year is at its finest with the changeable weather giving us so many different views of the river and its surrounds. I could hear this morning a fallow deer buck calling for the does as the mating season continues. This buck is calling now almost constantly for over two weeks. Rumour has it that there is a natural form of viagra growing somewhere in the woods! Maybe it`s those magic mushrooms. His call can be heard over a mile away on a calm evening. Isn`t the countryside lovely.
